How Ivary handles the personal information you give us through this website, by email and when you book an intro call.
Who we are and what this policy covers
Ivary is a business based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. In this policy "Ivary", "we", "us" and "our" mean that business.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with the website at ivary.ai (the "Website"), emails you send us, and intro calls you book with us. It covers the people who visit the Website, write to us, book a call or apply to test the Ivary service.
The Ivary service itself, a tool that helps builders price, document, sign and file variations, is not yet generally available. Before you use it, we will update this policy to cover the information it handles, and you will be asked to agree to it.
"Personal information" means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether or not it is true and whether or not it is recorded in a material form. It has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in that Act, whether or not the Act requires us to at our current size.
The Website is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The information we collect
- If you visit the Website: our website host records the ordinary technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you open, the page that referred you, and the date and time. You do not need an account to read the Website.
- If you email us: your name, your email address, and whatever you write to us, including any attachments.
- If you book an intro call: your name, your email address, your business name and role if you give them, your time zone, any notes you add, and the time you book. Bookings run through Cal.com, which collects these details to make the booking and send the calendar invitation.

We do not ask for sensitive information, payment card details or bank details, and we do not collect them through the Website.
How we use it
We use the information you give us to:
- reply to your enquiry and run the intro call you booked;
- assess your application to test the Ivary service and keep in touch with you about it;
- keep the Website secure, and investigate suspected misuse;
- meet our legal obligations and resolve any dispute;
- send you news about Ivary, only as described in section 8.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Cookies
The Website sets no cookies of its own. We do not run analytics or advertising cookies, pixels or fingerprinting on it. Fonts are served from our own site, so reading a page sends no request to a fonts service.
The "Book an intro call" dialog embeds the Cal.com booking page. When you open it, Cal.com may set its own cookies and collect the information needed to make the booking, under the Cal.com Privacy Policy. The dialog is not loaded until you open it.
Overseas disclosure
The providers in section 5 are based in the United States and may process the information they receive there. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including contractual data protection terms and sending only what the task needs. We do not otherwise disclose personal information to recipients outside Australia.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The Website and our mailbox use encrypted connections, access is limited to the people who need it, and every one of our accounts uses multi-factor authentication. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it promptly, contain it, and notify the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Marketing
We send messages about your enquiry, your call or your application as part of answering you. We send marketing email, such as news about Ivary, only where you have agreed to receive it or where the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) otherwise permits. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out at any time by emailing hello@ivary.ai.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries, booking details and tester applications for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless you become a customer or the law requires us to keep them longer. Website server logs are kept for up to 12 months.
Access, correction and deletion

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date and version at the top of the page show when it last changed, and the version on the Website is the one that applies.
